Bridal Skin Care Guide: Perfecting Your Skin for the Big Day
Hello, beautiful Bride-to-Be!
Did you know I was a Beauty Therapist and Skin Care Specialist before I became a Makeup Artist?
I’ve put together this guide to help you get your skin glowing and in tip-top shape before you marry your best friend! Because, let’s be real, radiant skin equals the best wedding glow!

1. Start Early: The 3-Month Rule
The sooner you start your skincare routine, the better. Begin around 3 months before your wedding to give your skin enough time to adjust to any changes. Your skin is your largest organ, so think of this as an investment in your future glow!

2. Cleanse, Cleanse, Cleanse
Double cleanse – morning and night! It's key to remove dirt, makeup, and all that gunk. Choose a gentle cleanser for your skin type (hydrating for dry, foaming for oily). Cleansing is the foundation of glowing skin, prepping it for moisturiser and makeup.

3. Exfoliate for Radiance
Exfoliating is your secret weapon for smooth, glowing skin (think of it like polishing a car before waxing it!). Aim to exfoliate 2-3 times a week, but don’t overdo it. Sensitive skin? Stick to gentle exfoliation.

4. Hydrate & Moisturise
Hydration is everything. Choose a moisturiser that suits your skin type – lightweight for oily skin, richer for dry skin. Moisturised skin makes makeup apply like a dream and last longer!

5. Targeting Skin Concerns
Got acne, pigmentation, or fine lines? Professional facials are a game-changer, along with targeted serums. Consistent treatments and serums for things like brightening or anti-aging will give your skin that extra TLC it needs.

6. The Role of Professional Facials and Treatments
Facials are your best friend, especially in the months leading up to your wedding. Hydrating, deep-cleansing, and brightening facials are perfect. Book one at least once a month, and if you’re considering injectables or fillers, get them at least 8 weeks in advance. After any professional treatments, keep it gentle for 24 hours and stay hydrated.

7. Don’t Forget the Neck and Décolletage
Your neck and chest need love too! Treat them with sunscreen, moisturizer, and any of your go-to skincare products to keep everything smooth and even-toned.

8. Sunscreen Is a Must
Daily sunscreen is a non-negotiable! Protect your skin from those pesky UV rays and prevent premature aging. I recommend SPF 30 or higher for broad-spectrum protection.

9. Keeping Stress in Check
Stress can show up on your skin, so try to manage it in the lead-up to your wedding. Prioritize sleep, hydration, and good food – it’ll make a difference, trust me!

10. Skin Care the Week of the Wedding
In the final stretch, stick to what works for your skin – no experimenting with new products. Hydrate, relax, and consider a calming mask if needed. The night before your big day, get a good night's sleep, and don’t worry if you don't!– I’ll treat you to a luxury eye mask to help soothe those tired eyes!

Conclusion:
Remember, you’re already stunning! My goal is to help you feel radiant and confident on your big day. Let's get that glow going!
